So, who’s ready for the big release of the Series 7 Boxset coming up soon? No doubt it’ll be full of treats and surprises, but won’t it just be nice to finally have all of the episodes from Asylum of the Daleks to The Name of the Doctor in one space at last?

Perhaps you’ve already bought Series 7 Part 1 and plan to simply buy the other half in a few weeks time to save yourself some money… but may we suggest that you rethink your options as the BBFC, the British Board of Film Classification, have just passed a rating on a short piece of additional material from 2012’s The Snowmen that looks like it will be appearing exclusively on the complete Series 7 set.

The short, directed by Saul Metzstein (A Town Called Mercy; The Crimson Horror), is called Clara’s White Christmas.

This looks to be a prequel or even a deleted scene, but what delights does it hold? The cast list includes Matt Smith, Jenna-Louise Coleman, Richard E Grant and Dan Starkey so you can expect hi-jinks and serious acting packed in to the 3 minutes and 22 second clip.

This is new Doctor Who that you won’t have seen before. Yes, it’s short, but do you really want to miss the opportunity to see more of the Doctor and Clara together? This Kasterborite will be handing over all his pennies on release day for this little beauty.

Doctor Who: The Complete Seventh Series will be released later this year.
